Rotary

Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years Rotary’s global network of 1.2 million members has used its passion, energy and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects from literacy to peace, to water and health.

A past President of the Rotary Club of Perth and a Paul Harris Fellow, Jeff has committed the Group to Rotary and its ideals since 1985. He is actively involved in a range of Rotary activities and causes.

PROST

PROST! Exercise 4 Prostate Cancer Inc is the only prostate exercise support group in Australia. The program is unique in that its goal is to help men both with physical and mental health recovery from a prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment through group exercise and social interaction. Jeff was elected Chairman in 2023.

Passages

Passages was established as a result of the growing rate of youth homelessness in Western Australia and the need for a unique specialist engagement service. The centre provides a non-judgemental safe space for our community’s most marginalised and at-risk young people. Young people aged 12 to 25 have a safe, friendly and positive place to access support and referrals to essential services. A Director since 1999, Jeff assisted in the development of this critical community service which now has facilities in Northbridge and Mandurah.

Variety

Variety – the Children’s Charity supports kids and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with disability. As an active participant of the Variety 4WD Adventure, Jeff is a passionate supporter of Variety and its work.

Path of Hope

Path of Hope is a Perth Rotary initiative aiming to break the intergenerational cycle of family violence in our local communities. Rotarians and friends of Rotary mobilise the organisational capacity of Rotary and its members to support The Salvation Army’s services that provide safety and empowerment to women and children escaping Family Violence and raise much needed awareness in our local communities.

Annually, Helen Leach organises a Christmas Gift Appeal to collect presents for these women and children who are displaced due to Family Domestic Violence.
